Privacy Policy
Last updated 21 October 2026
This policy explains how Gallore Research Labs (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit www.galloreresearchlabs.ie or get in touch with us. We are based in Ireland and handle personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988–2018.
Who is responsible for your data
Gallore Research Labs is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it at admin@gallore.ie.
What we collect
- Enquiries. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
- Client work. If you become a client, we keep the contact and project details needed to deliver and invoice the work.
- Website usage. Our website host collects standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and the referring site, and uses cookies for the site to work and to produce visitor statistics. We also use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and when an enquiry is sent. It only sets its cookies if you accept them in the cookie banner.
We do not ask for special category data, and please do not send it through the contact form.
How and why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible project. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To deliver and manage client work, including invoicing. Our legal basis is performance of a contract, and our legal obligations for accounting and tax records.
- To run and improve the website, using anonymous or aggregated statistics. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and useful, and your consent where non-essential cookies are used.
We do not sell your data, use it for automated decision-making, or send marketing emails without your permission.
Who we share it with
We only share personal data with service providers that help us run the business, under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Squarespace, which hosts this website and provides its visitor statistics.
- Google (Google Analytics), which provides website usage statistics. If you decline analytics cookies, it receives only limited signals without cookies.
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
- Our email and accounting providers, for correspondence and invoicing.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by an approved safeguard such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months of our last contact.
- Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and then for six years, to meet Irish tax and accounting requirements.
- Website statistics are kept by our host in line with its own retention settings. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Cookies
This website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, and analytics cookies (from our website host and Google Analytics) that help us understand how it is used. Where non-essential cookies are used, you can accept or decline them through the cookie banner, and you can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted, where we have no legal reason to keep it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email admin@gallore.ie. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
